These 2 pictures were taken when we visited Cologne to celebrate our 3-year-anniversary as a couple.

Pictures of Ralphy S. on Vacation in Brasil
31 October till 15 November 1999
This picture was taken from the top of the famous Sugar Loaf hill in Rio de Janeiro.In the background left you see the famous Copacabana beach were we stayed in Rio.

Yes, it's official since the start of May 1999 Ralphy S. is dating Monja D. and he took her with him on vacation.

On this picture you can see Monja and me (on the right) plus our friends and travel companions in Brasil Robert and Yvonne Hameleers (left center), who also originate from our hometown Bocholtz. We coincidentally booked the Brasil Tour together.

In the middle you see our excellent Brasilian tour guide Frederico Crema Leis (or Fredddy), who is also a promising guitarist.
On the far left you see Jenny Petten, she emigrated as 4 year old girl to Brasil with her parents and now works (part-time) as a translator for Dutch tourists in South America.
This picture was taken in the famous nature reservation Pantanal near the Rio Paraguay.

What you see here is another daring adventure of Ralphy S., where he is fooling around with an anaconda snake. Anaconda's (or sucuri's as they are called in Brasil) are the biggest snakes in the world. They aren't poisonous, but kill their prey by strangulation. Fearless Ralphy strikes again (btw I think she just had a meal).
On this picture (and the one with Monja and me above) you see the famous waterfalls of Foz de Iguacu. These waterfalls near the border of Argentina, Brasil and Paraguay are the widest falls in the world and are an absolute spectacular sight to see. If you click on the picture, a bigger picture will open which would make a great screensaver. Take a look.

By the way I bought that ball from him for 1,000 guilders. Well actually, my soccer club WDZ (of which I'm treasurer) bought it at the occasion of our 25th anniversary and the money will be used for the advancement of sports for handicapped people.
